The City of Harker Heights has begun construction on the Wastewater Basin 15 Phase 1 Project through a contract with Stampede Utility Construction, LLC and WTC, and includes the replacement of an existing 12-inch wastewater interceptor along Memory Lane.
Construction activities will take place within the public right-of-way and easements along Memory Lane. This project is part of the City's ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving critical wastewater infrastructure, enhancing system reliability, and supporting the community's long-term needs.
During construction, residents and motorists should expect:
- Temporary lane closures and/or roadway restrictions
- Temporary delays when entering or exiting driveways
- Construction equipment and heavy truck traffic
- Increased noise, dust, and general construction activity
Memory Lane serves as a neighborhood collector roadway, and motorists are encouraged to use caution, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted traffic control devices while work is underway.
