Join us for the City’s First Fridays Music Series, happening May–June and September–November at the Carl Levin Park Amphitheater. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a relaxing evening with live music and a picnic on the lawn. Please note: No alcohol or glass containers allowed. 
 
Come out, unwind, and enjoy great live music with the community!

Harker Heights residents are invited to host a garage sale at their home, while residents and visitors can spend the day shopping around the city and hunting for great finds! Residents who would like their garage sale included on the City Garage Sale Map must register by September 17. Registration is not required to participate. You can still hold a garage sale on October 3 if you do not register, but your address will not be included on the map. Please note: A CivicRec account is required to register, and your registration is complete once you receive a receipt.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a little ghost or ghoul, or just love Halloween, there’s something for everyone. Games, activities, trick-or-treating, candy and more to enjoy.

The Harker Heights Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting vendor applications for all 2026 Special Events.

Important Steps:
1. Set up a CivicRec account if you do not already have one.
2. Complete a Special Events Vendor application. (Your application is not submitted until you receive a receipt. A completed application is required prior to the approval to sign up for specific events.)
3. Email additional requirements to [email protected] (examples: Business Certificate, photos, and other certifications and permits that apply for both food and non-food vendors)
4. Once approved, vendors will be informed by an approval email to sign up for one or all of the upcoming events available. (Make sure you choose the specific events you would like to be a vendor for. The event's vendors list will be compiled from that specific events registrations.
